چکیده
Abstract GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) has been known as a tool used in non-destructive testing or other words can find out the conditions below surface without damaging layer above it. The method is generally applied to roads namely flexible pavements and rigid pavements. This properties because it utilizes electromagnetic waves its operation, such detecting presence of objects constituent layers at certain depth. penetration depth that be achieved by influenced three physical parameters, conductivity, relative dielectric permittivity (RDP), magnetic permeability. In this study, GCB-400 antenna model produced Swedish company Geoscanners. research was conducted on with 2 different types materials, asphalt (flexible pavement) concrete (rigid pavement). Asphalt have where an RDP 5 5.5. results showed there were significant differences between materials. On material, reach more than 3 meters. only less

GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) into Real World
GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) is one of subsurface sensing technologies, which has been used intensively since 1980s. Due to rapid development of both hardware and software, its possibilities have been considerably extended resulting in widening the area of its applications. While such applications as to detection of buried pipes and cables, archaeology and geology are established category, ne...
متن کاملGround-Penetrating Radar Antenna Modeling
-Detecting subsurface objects by using GroundPenetrating Radar (GPR) has received considerable interest in recent years. In order to interpret radar signals from buried objects, one must have the ability to model a large range of objects, grounds and radar antennas, theoretically or numerically, so that a real GPR system can be simulated. Many investigations have been done for modeling objects ...

متن کاملRapid Detection Methods for Asphalt Pavement Thicknesses and Defects by a Vehicle-Mounted Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) System
The thickness estimation of the top surface layer and surface layer, as well as the detection of road defects, are of great importance to the quality conditions of asphalt pavement. Although ground penetrating radar (GPR) methods have been widely used in non-destructive detection of pavements, the thickness estimation of the thin top surface layer is still a difficult problem due to the limitat...
